Dexter moved to Portugal at age 11 and grew up in the Lagos, Algarve area. Being a keen explorer and avid surfer from an early age, he knows the Algarve like the back of his hand. At age 18 he moved to his native country, the Netherlands, where he studied International Business and Languages at the University of Amsterdam. After working as Event Manager for a large company, in 2013 at age 27, Dexter moved back to the Algarve to pursue a career in Real Estate. With over 6 years of experience as one of the leading sales agents in the area, and after managing a local real estate agency for a year, it was time to start his own company. In 2021 he partnered with the Algarve Partners investment group, managed the property development company Battaglia Real Estate, and opened ten Hoopen Realty with his partners late 2021. 

Dexter is known to dedicate his time to his clients and going beyond the call of duty, be it for buyers or sellers. He has built long lasting relationships both locally and internationally, creating a wide network of contacts around the world. He is hard working, open, and honest, always puts the interests of his clients first, and personally makes sure that every deal goes as smoothly as possible. 

Speaking Dutch, English and Portuguese fluently and a basic knowledge of French, German and Spanish has been a major factor in being able to communicate efficiently with most international clients.
